I would like to thank you all.

I would like to thank each and everyone who has visited my blog and have left me comments and sent me private emails regarding the work I am doing.
Your words of encouragement and positive feedback have been a great help to me.  I was not expecting this sculpt to come out as good as it did and I am so happy with the end result. I am still not completely finished with it yet but will be done soon.
I am going to make copies of this one for those of you who have asked me to add them to the list of people who have pre ordered one of these lovely sculpts.
I will also be taking orders from  those of you who have asked  me do some commissioned pcs of your very own Frenchies.
Please contact me privately to get your Starfish Paws on one of these beautiful Frenchie Bust sculptures.

Thanking you in advance.

Love it.

Yes so today I was showing all my peers the photos I took of my work.  Everyone was loving the detail and the size of the sculpt.  I am jonesing to do another one now. Maybe another breed. But this is awsome. I still have to do a rubber mold and then cast them when ready. I hope to have a sample soon. It does take time as I work full time and then when ever I have a couple of hours I do what I love doing. Art.
I still need to figure out how I am going to attach the sculpt to a base. I am thinking of using marble blocks for the base or wood.... Still thinking about it. But i am so happy with the results.
I hope everyone likes the work. It took me in total approximately 24 hours to do.
There is still minor things to do to it but will be done soon.

Just about there.

Wow, it was worth every minute. I am just about done. Today I put in another 3 hours on detail alone and it was great seeing the transformation. Love it man. I am so happy with the turn out.
I got some good detail shots and some not so good detail shots but you be the judge. Now I have to look for anything that needs to be touched up or tweaked, Then I have to think about how I am going to do the Rubber mold. Damn need to get some sleep. Ill continue this tomorrow.
Have a great night all.

Sunny Sunsun Cervantes

This beautiful little Red Frenchie is Gabby's Daughter. She came to us last year during Easter weekend. She was a ball of fire right from the start. She was ready to take over the pack and she ruled with  a strong iron fist ( Paw ) lol  Well this little girl was a such a tiny little cuddle bug. We loved the way her ears smelled like nachos, just like our first dog Bailey. Sunny was a great little Frenchie and she was very cute and loved to sleep at my neck and she was such a great listener and a fantastic walker. Sunny was only 5 years old when we first got her and she brought lots of joy in our lives as well as lots of crazy excitement. She turned this household upside down. lol
We were ready to send her packing during the first week of having here  cause of all the fighting she was doing but most of it was our fault due to not knowing the process of Pack mentality. Well we were schooled quickly by her and learned to deal with all the changes in our world.  It was all worth it. Sunny has so many beautiful qualities to her. She was a show dog and very eloquent and quiet. She loved to go walkies with me and she always looked so proud walking with me. Her head held high and her relaxed ways made her so beautiful...... To be continued.

Check out my Slide Show!

Smoothing out the rough edges.

As I sit here in front of Gabby I look at her and notice that her features are all enclosed in soft rolls of fur.  So comparing to my sculpt I will have to soften up her features I made them more exaggerated in order to get the detail, but as I said looking at the real subject she is more softer and supple, (lol) like a Butter Ball. hahaahahhahaha
I still have lots of work ahead of me on this one. lol
Seeing the photos is not the same as having the subject there in front of your eyes.  It makes it a bit harder but just as exciting none the less.
Till next posting.

More updates

Continuation

Well as you can all see I am still working on it. I can only put in a couple of hours at a time when I am doing this, so it is taking some time to complete. But I still like the results I am getting so I will continue till it is done. Here you see some more updates in the pics. I am adjusting and adding and removing material as I go along, trying to make everything even on both sides is difficult but has to be done in order to make the final product harmonious.

So much little detail.

Boy I tell you all that now I see Gabby in a different light. Each time I look at her now I am studying the lines the dents and curves of her every feature. I now see so much more then I did before. It is unbelievable the amount of contours on her ears alone. Not to mention her little Nose. The nose has so many little bumps and lumps that I had not noticed before. lol It is still fun and today I put in a good 4 hours sculpting her head. Just making sure I was going in the right direction and checking the photos and then comparing the sculpt. there is still so much to do but slowly it will get done. i am having second thoughts about doing the whole body, simply cause I found out that the mold would be very expensive to make. So for now I will be content to do the head alone and see where we go from there. I have also added a photo of the tools I am using at the moment. I use all of them at one point or another. the best ones are the small ones with the wire loop cause they can give lots of detail or take away lots of material with one scoop.  Great tools of the trade. They work for me right now so I go with it.
Enjoy.
